Sofia’s airport was still bustling on Monday with gymnasts, slowly everyone headed home and it’s time to evaluate a 36th Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships. Very RG nerdy things follow. Thank you for the week, the hospitality and memories to Sofia, Bulgaria! What a ride it was!

Sofia World Championships 2018 of Rhythmic Gymnastics: Aleksandra Soldatova is the girl of the day during the first day. With ball she receives 20.250 (0.100 point more than Dina Averina), 0.200 points more than Arina who won’t be defending her world title in tomorrow’s finals. The Averina twins are back on top of the world during sunday’s Thiais Grand Prix event finals (Dina takes gold with ball and ribbon, while Arina is gold medalist with clubs). Dina Averina of Russia won a clear victory in the mistake-ridden individual all-around final at Thiais GP, but by far the best sight was Italy with its group.
