The Kazan Championship, competition reserved to junior gymnasts, was also the first official release of russian elite gymnasts (Alexandra Soldatova, Ekaterina Selezneva, Arina and Dina Averina, etc..) and of the group, who welcomed back olympic champion Anastasia Bliznyuk.
There was the expectation of seeing world champion Yana Kudryavtseva and Margarita Mamun but finally they didn’t exhibite, delaying their first appearance to Moscow Grand Prix (20-22 February).

Curiosity: Russian group exhibited 3 times in 5 ribbons routine showing every time a different music cut.
