Impossible is nothing! At least for Evgenia Kanaeva who doubled the olympic title she won in Beijing. For the first time in rhythmic gymnastics a gymnast won it twice!

There are “only” a silver for Daria Dmitrieva and a bronze for Liubov Charkashyna. Gold has her name: Evgenia Kanaeva. Since 2008 she never stopped to win and today she wrote one of the most important chapters of RG’s history!

Congratulations Zhenecka!

And congratulations to all the gymnasts for their performance! Daria Dmitrieva who was 2nd today showed her great charisma did an excellent clubs routine the apparatus where she had some problems yesterday and ended with a fabulous ribbon who took the highest score in this apparatus. Liubov Charkashyna stunned the audience with 4 touching exercises and cried at the end of her ribbon for joy and after knowing she was third (we all cried with her I think!).

Aliya Garayeva was unlucky with clubs and took the 4th place after a great ribbon routine. An amazing competition for the new rising star from Korea Yeon Jae Son who ended in 5th place after 4 incredible routines (her ball is a must see!). Alina Maksymenko conquered the 6th place after a drop during her ball routine followed by Neta Rivkin. Silvia Miteva finished in 8th position due to an unclean execution with ball, behind her Joanna Mitrosz who had one drop with clubs but finished with a very good ribbon. Lats placement for Anna Rizatdinova who improved a lot her results since the last World Championship in Montpellier. An amazing competition full of emotion for today! Tomorrow don’t miss the challenge for the olympic title!
